Built in 1213, the Oude Kerk is the oldest building in Amsterdam. The church was consecrated by the Bishop of Utrecht in 1306, and after the Reformation in 1578, would become a Calvinist church. Rembrandt was a frequent visitor to the Oude Kerk and his children were all christened here.
